Garrity Insurance Sponsors Event Raising $30,000 For Youth With Cancer and Other Life-Threatening Diseases
(Cambridge, MA) A charity event benefiting Cambridge-based nonprofit Next Step this past Saturday raised $30,000 for teens and young adults with cancer, HIV and other life-threatening diseases, thanks to an underwriting sponsorship from Garrity Insurance.
“Garrity Insurance has had a major impact on our organization and on the lives of the youth we serve” said Next Step Founder and Executive Director, Bill Kubicek. “Without their generous sponsorship, we couldn’t host this event, which is a key part of our annual fundraising efforts and program budget. This year’s event raised enough funds to send two hundred youth to one of our programs.“
This is Garrity Insurance’s fourth year as underwriting sponsor for the annual fundraiser which takes place at the Spee Club in Harvard Square each spring. This year over two hundred people attended the event.
“Giving back to the community is a practice we value highly at Garrity Insurance” said Bill Garrity, President, Garrity Insurance. “We do as much as we can to support local agencies that are doing good work and improving people’s lives.”
